It’s darts, Jim, but not as we know it
Have you seen our newest game yet? DartsCrazy is a hybrid of golf and darts and is the world’s largest target-based game of its kind, playable in numerous formats. It can be hired for all manner of functions, be they corporate, public or social and is perfect for team building events, promotions or even as an ice breaker at your wedding!
The activity is portable, so we can assemble it in your venue, office or garden so long as you’ve got the space. You can putt, throw or chip at the target (we supply juggling thuds for the throwing version and low-impact balls for the golf versions). And don’t worry a jot if you’re not that good at either golf or darts, we find that all-comers enjoy the experience.
Our operators will come and set it all up for you and can even run tournaments if desired. Game formats include: Elimination, Aggregate, Shotgun and Sudden-Death. Or you could simply play for a bit of a giggle.
It’s also customisable so, for example, we could insert your company logo in the ‘treble 20’ bed. Or how about a photo of the wedding couple in place of the ‘bullseye’?!
Jacqui from Essex played and commented afterwards “The game is big and really stands out. I really enjoyed the throwing and putting formats, but most of all I enjoyed beating my husband! What a cool idea, the possibilities are endless”. Julian from North Finchley added “DartsCrazy is an excellent and eye-catching, grown up game and the colours are really authentic. As for the game-playing it was simple, straight-forward and didn’t need too much instruction”.
Join Julian and Jacqui and get YOUR fix of jumbo joy. Get in touch now to find out more.
DartsCrazy… it’s fun on a crazy scale!

Reflecting on our latest ping pong creation
Have you seen our wacky ping pong tables yet? Paddington Central had, at an event where we supplied their entertainment some time ago. We were delighted when, just recently, they contacted us again, this time to commission us to build a bespoke table for their site.
Designed for long-term use outdoors, our lads in the workshop built a framework underneath the table from robust, exterior-grade materials. The tilted, mirrored surface and angled net combine to create a compelling and highly addictive game. As an added touch, we recreated Paddington Central’s aqua blue brand colour for the trim and surface design. Have a look at the pictures on the right for a flavour of what we did.
If you’re passing through Paddington Central and fancy a game on the table, you’d be most welcome as it’s open to the public and free to play. Located just off Kingdom St, right next to the beautiful Sheldon Square Amphitheatre, you’ll also find a fabulous array of restaurants and bars. Tell us about your experience @Urban_Crazy.
Would you like a bespoke table tennis table for your company or facility? If so we’d love to hear from you.

2015 London Golf Show report
It was a huge thrill to be back at the London Golf Show for the sixth time entertaining visitors with our minigolf and ping pong activities. Alongside the course and tables we had a separate stand with special offers on a bright selection of themed and novelty golf balls. The show was a success for us with many rounds and games played, Christmas pressies sold and funds and awareness raised for our partner charity, On Course Foundation. It’s a very worthy cause, please take a look at their website.
With our inimitable, modular crazy golf course design it is possible to alter the shape and layout of the holes, something we decided to do for each of the three days. We had devised some unusual five-hole layouts, take a look at the gallery to the right and let us know your favourite via twitter.
The sixth and final hole was our BallDropCrazy game where the ball travels down a clear Perspex tube then rattles and ricochets randomly inside a see-through box before settling in any of six pockets. We gave each of the pockets a different value, so, added to your score on the first five holes, it could really make or break your round. This induced much joy – and frustration – amongst the players but as all golfers know, there is no reward without risk! Everyone that visited was entered into the draw to win a brand spanking new Taylor Made driver.
Finally, it was great to be reacquainted with old friends and to meet new contacts. The buzz at the show seems to get “buzzier” each year and once again the organisers Simon, Adrian and all the team did an outstanding job. And with performances and demos from LGS regulars including Gary Smith, Kevin Carpenter, Tony Westwood and Dean Davis the event continues to be a golfer’s dream destination.
We hope to see you again at the 2016 London Golf Show!

PongCrazy pimped up ‘UV style’
Ever since we introduced the world to PongCrazy (our quirky take on ping pong), we’ve been dying to pimp up our tables ‘UV style’! So very recently we set to work on a new version that would glow all sorts of weird and wonderful colours in a dark room, under a black light, with the aim of confusing the hell out of people attempting to play. Sound like a good plan..? We thought so!
So after all the prep-work it was great to be booked to bring our 3 UV tables and lighting down to Emmanuel College for their all-night, astronomy-themed May Ball and let the students of Cambridge loose on our brand new creation.
The room was a hive of activity from the off. Our aptly named ‘Constellation’ table saw participants attempt to beat their opponent whilst avoiding the imaginary stars. ‘Sunbeam’ stunned players with a pulsating orange glow from the table, as well as from the specially adapted bats and balls. And, last but not least, our ‘Skew-V’ table’s diagonal stripes and slanted playing surface served to beguile and bewilder the masses.
We were delighted with the success of the evening. Hundreds of students spent hours competing against each other for the coveted crown of best glow-in-the-dark ping pong player, all the while wearing the fancy dress glasses and headbands that we dished out! Our host and organiser Emma Meads commented – “We thought it looked fantastic and have only heard great reviews! The large queues were testament to that too’”.
What better way to spice up an evening’s entertainment than by hosting a game of UV ping pong. If you would like to hire our activity for your next event, speak to a member of our team and we’ll be happy to help. All you need is the space – we’ll do the rest!

Ally Pally went Ping Pong Crazy
North London’s Alexandra Palace plays host to many great sporting events throughout the year and last weekend was no exception. On Sat 24 and Sun 25 Jan, the iconic North London venue was home to the very exciting Party Poker World Championship of Ping Pong. And our PongCrazy activity was booked to add even more pizzazz and entertain visitors before and after the tournament sessions.
Competitive Ping Pong is based on the game of table tennis, but with a few differences. Traditional “technology-free” sandpaper bats multiply the skill, speed and power factors which, combined with some alternative rules, make it arguably more enjoyable to play and to watch. The 1,000 strong crowds and those viewing on Sky Sports would surely agree and we think introducing this variation was a masterstroke (pardon the pun) by Barry Hearn’s Matchroom Sport.
Our novelty tables were set up within the magnificent Palm Court hall, alongside the well-stocked Topspin Sports stand, and served (really sorry about the pun… again) to get the spectators into the ping pong spirit before they entered the main arena. They were drawn to our intriguing egg-shaped ‘Sunnyside Up’ table, the challenging play of our golf-themed ‘Up and Down’ table and the mind-bending confusion of our mirrored ‘Double Vision’ table. Over the 2 days in excess of 500 people of all ages and standards played our game and all seemed to have a smashing time (oh god, it’s another pun).
Even some of the professionals couldn’t resist testing their skills on our tables including Maxim Shmyrev – the 3-times former champion – who gave UrbanCrazy’s Danny the runaround on ‘Double Vision’. The action was so fast and furious that by the end of the game Danny himself was suffering from a little double vision too!
But really we were just the “undercard” to the “top billing” that was the championship itself, where in the cauldron of the main arena the action was really hotting up. It eventually reached boiling point in Sunday night’s nail-biting final where the UK’s very own Andrew Baggaley took the first 2 sets only to be pinned back to 2-2 by his opponent, German ace Alexander “The Flash” Flemming. In a dramatic climax, and much to the delight of the mostly partisan crowd, Andrew came from behind in the final set to triumph by 15 points to 12 and scoop the $20,000 top prize and trophy.
With so much momentum behind it right now owing to Barry Hearn’s drive and determination to deliver it to a bigger audience, it seems ping pong has really entered the big league and we are thrilled to be part of this scene.
If you would like to hire any of our PongCrazy tables for your next event, check out the range here and contact us to net yourself a deal. And yes, that was another pun!
